MOOD is an NFT project on the MultiversX Blockchain (previously Elrond). To participate, you need to own at least 1 MOOD NFT.
The families:
The MOOD has hired 7 families made of 6 characters each.
Each family has a different background that will be useful to obtain some clues to solve the enigma.
The game:
Every month, a new game session takes place, which consists of a few key points:
1. Mission order
As an introduction to the monthly enigma, the MOOD sends holders a mission order. This mission order is an introduction to the enigma, explaining what will happen and how many steps will need to be solved to obtain the rewards. The goal is for you to gather enough details in order to build your team.
2. Build your team
Based on the information revealed by the mission order, you will need to choose your team, amongst the NFTs you own, for this specific mission. You will be asked to pick 1 NFT per step. Picking the right NFT will give you a clue, allowing you to gain some time to solve the related step. 1 NFT allows you to play, but a full team is better is you want to win!
3. Completing the mission
This is the fun part! You get to use your big brains to prove your value and complete your mission as fast as possible.
4. Collect your rewards
If you are amongst the fastest to solve the mission, you will be entitled to some rewards. So this step is quite straightforward, it’s time for you to cash in!
The Influentials
The members of this family are the ones influencing most aspects of your life. They are constantly on TV and on social media. They decide on the trends, and you don’t even know it but last year they were wearing what you are wearing right now. Some of them have a more secret role, such as diplomates or yakuza, and operate in the shadows, but have a major impact on society.
They have means and are part of very private clubs giving them access to secret information that you and I would only discover later. One of those private clubs is the MOOD.
The Knowledgeables
Let us give you a piece of advice: do not try to outsmart them, because those people are geniuses. On the other hand, if you want to learn about quantum mechanics, the wool trade in the southwest of France in the 6th century, or if you want to discuss what Aristotle thinks about the afterlife and if a sound is still a sound if nobody’s here to hear it, you probably found the good persons.
Surgery, botanic, linguistic… they know everything! It is believed that they are not allowed to participate in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and that’s the very reason why they are more than welcome in our agency.
The Unpredictables
The MOOD would actually like to stay quite secretive about them. And the reason for that is that they are very mysterious characters. It is said that some people heard Forrest Gump saying that this family is like a chocolate box, and you never know what you're gonna get. And we don’t believe one can get more accurate than Forrest when it comes to describing The Unpredictables.
Their strength comes from the fact that you can’t foresee their actions or their skills. Hence, depending on the mystery that needs to be solved, they can turn out being the greatest or the less efficient agents...
The Travelers
Not all those who wander are lost. Some people need to see the world, discover other cultures, meet people, and taste new meals. That’s our Travelers family.
You won’t find them at a specific address as the world is their home. They gain their knowledge from their encounters with shamans, with other digital nomads, or with humans they met on the road while hitchhiking.
They know all the good places to go for you to get both information and the best pizza in town. They know people who might know people everywhere, which makes them excellent detectives, and a fierce team of the MOOD.
The Average Joes
One could argue that the MOOD only needs some exceptional beings in order to investigate and go on adventures around the world. And therefore, we could be surprised to see that the Average Joes are amongst us, as nothing makes them special. They are not scientists or artists. They definitely don’t hit the gym on an everyday basis. But...
As they don’t stand out, they can easily blend in with the crowd. Moreover, their strength comes from their group, because even though there’s nothing exceptional about them as individuals, they are a very strong squad. This allows them to find answers as a real family instead of being selfish and trying to solve everything for the satisfaction of their ego.
The Geeks
Mastering technology has made them some of the most efficient detectives in the world. Hackers, developers, designers… they form a very well-rounded team who loves to meet around a table to roll a D20, and they’ve been doing that since before it was cool (which is quite recent).
They are not very influential, but they can crack your Tweeter password within a few seconds. They don’t travel much, but they can recognize any country from a google map picture. They are the best in their field, and they are in the MOOD.
The Punchers
High kick, uppercut, uraken… you name it! Sometimes, missions require us to investigate mysteries that some people would rather keep unsolved… and you will be happy to have the Punchers on your team when this happens because they are not the kind of agents to run away from a fight!
Clearly not the smartest people in the MOOD, but their skills in combat sports definitely counterbalance their lack of culture. And to be honest, nobody would dare tell them otherwise anyway!
